“Although every single project we create is unique unto itself, there is one commonality that makes a house a RAMSA house: the quality that we deliver to clients. We are committed to ensuring that every step of the creation of a house—from the initial plan to the final punch list—is completed at the highest level of creativity and execution, which is why our clients often come back to us again and again.”
Kevin J. Kelly, AIA
Since joining RAMSA in 2011, Kevin Kelly has been a key part of project management and development across the globe, working on projects in China, Hong Kong, Ireland, Kenya, Monrovia, New York City, and elsewhere in the United States. Since his very first project at the firm—the planning and development of several villas in China, a residential project that he credits as cementing his love of houses and unique private residences—Kevin has brought a deep commitment to creating homes and buildings that are suited to their surrounding landscapes and honor each community’s unique history and culture.
Kevin graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with his Bachelor of Architecture in 2009, and after having spent the bulk of career at RAMSA, was named partner in 2023. He joined the Houses studio that year. Respected for his strong leadership and relationship skills, he is working on several private residences, in addition to spearheading RAMSA’s work with the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, projects which include the historical documentation of an 1860s Italian Palazzo in Florence, now used by the U.S. Government for consular services. A member of the AIA, an LEED Accredited Professional, and a participant in the Congress for New Urbanism, Kevin also plays a vital role in the professional development of RAMSA’s junior staff.
He’s an avid traveler and enjoys exploring both cities and more rural parts of the world, always conscious of how nature impacts the built environment. He grew up sailing with his family on the Chesapeake, something he still tries to do in the summers, and recently started urban gardening on the terrace of his apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
